So, I'm sitting here, having some tea and a peanutbutter cracker while my daughter naps. Have you ever heard of Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP)? Okay, okay maybe you saw the movie White Noise like I did, or maybe you just saw the trailer and thought, "Ehhh, another crappy NON scary movie.", and didn't bother to go see it. I went to go see it, and being the complete dork that I am set out the very next day to read any and everything I could on the subject. I learned that EVP isn't just something that Hollywood cooked up to make you think twice about listening to the static on your radio or make you wonder if your eyes are playing tricks on you or if you really DO see something in the static on the TV when your cable goes out.
I mean come on, who out there DOESN'T want to at least THINK that after your body dies your spirit, soul, consciousness whatever you want to call it lives on? I may not be a religious person by nature, but I am spiritual and I DO believe in "God" or "The Maker" in the sense that there is on energy from which we all pull.
I may be a huge dork, but there is also something about it that just seems......right. It just seem to fit. Not because I'm afraid that my own ego and personality will forever be lost to nothingness when I do die. I mean honestly what is there to be afraid of in that? Why would you fear something that you wouldn't even be aware of? No, it isn't fear that drives me to want to believe it, what makes me want to believe it is the fact that it just seems right, something inside me clicks and on some level almost says, "Yes....YES...I know this somehow."
So....Do you believe in Ghosts? I don't, but I do believe in the human spirit.....
"Any unexplained phenomenon passes through three stages before the reality of it is accepted. During the first stage, it is considered laughable. During the second stage, it is adamantly opposed. Finally, during the third stage, it is accepted as self-evident." —Arthur Schopenhauer
